We offer services ranging from cutting the smallest of yards, to the largest of estates. There isn't a job too small or too large for us to handle.
Old Farm provides a top-notch lawn mowing service with top of the line equipment - combined with 15 years experience.
We also provide many other landscaping services - everything from designing and constructing planters and rock gardens to pressure washing your home, deck or driveway. We also do tree pruning and removal and weed control! Need your lawn fertilized? We're the ones to call. We use proprietary blends and pre-mixed chemicals as well as pre-mixed fertilizers, such as Scott's Turf Builder products, Pennington Signature products and simple 10-10-10 fertilizers. We can also mix and spread fertilizers and grass seed to your specifications!
Property Maintenance - Mowing and Trimming
Our property maintenance division is very skilled and provide high quality results at great prices. We have customers who want us to mow every week, and those that only want it bi-weekly. Either is fine with us, but after two weeks grass is usually so high that it is hard to manicure properly - not to mention the added impact on our equipment. I always recommend a weekly cutting for the best results. Because of the added time and wear on equipment involved, a customer can expect either $5 or $10 added to a price if it's to be mowed bi-weekly.
Many people tell us that we have great prices compared to local competetors. Our largest client - the Old Jenkins Country Club - is a large complex situated in the middle of 3 acres of seeded lawn areas, coupled with around 45 minutes of intensive trimming. They requested an estimate from a competetor here in town. Their quote: $150. They then called us and requested an estimate. Our price: $70. We've heard similar stories, but there's no need to defame a company or person by name.
We rarely charge more than $40 for residential property maintenance, and those are the large lawns. Most are charged $20, $25, or $30 each week, with the additional charge for bi-weekly service, if they request it. Our equipment is top of the line and provides golf-course quality results. We usually mow in strips, up and down, or on a diagonal, whichever the customer prefers. The equipment leaves a pretty stripe in one direction behind it, then in another direction on the way back.

Pressure Washing
We also provide an excellent pressure washing service. We clean many surfaces like: concrete, asphalt, brick, block, wood decking, vinyl and aluminum siding, and others. It never fails to amaze me how much grime comes off of something that really didn't look too dirty before gettinng washed. I liken it to erasing years of age off a surface, because it really does make it look new! Here's an example:

Prices for pressure washing vary greatly depending on the type and size of the surface you want cleaned. (Vinyl siding is much easier to clean than a wood deck.) We just washed a 28x52 doublewide that had vinyl siding and two medium size decks - Only charged $80. There aren't many people, and aren't ANY companies that would have done it for that price, I'm sure. We know that times are tough and your money just doesn't go as far as it used to. That's why we provide these services at low prices. We know from past experiences that a satisfied customer WILL call on us whenever they need a project handled professionally, large or small.
Weed Control, Fertilization, and everything else
WEED CONTROL
Do you have unwanted and overgrown plants around your property and can't keep them from coming back? Give us a call. We provide weed control services that are guaranteed all season long. We use several types of herbicides such as Glyphosate - 2,4D - and a special blend of three herbicidal mixes when the application calls for a little more killing power. Price varies with species and density of growth. As I said, weed control is guaranteed all season long - You pay one low price when we first spray, and if the weeds grow back, we'll come back and spray again at no cost to you!
FERTILIZATION
Want your lawn to be so green it looks artificial? It takes fertilization... We use many types of fertilizers, depending on the specific needs of any given piece of property. Everything from simple 10-10-10 and 20-20-20 multi-purpose blends, Pennington's Weed-n-Feed, Scott's TurfBuilder, to our own proprietary blend of nutrients. The use of push-spreaders allows us to maximize coverage of your lawn and keeps us from having to leave large tire tracks in a lawn.
Fertilization is recommended 4 times a year, but once or twice is enough for most people.
HEDGE TRIMMING - TREE PRUNING
Prices of hedge trimming and tree pruning depend on the size of the tree, hedge, or bush needing work done. We do quality trimming and pruning work - and we clean up afterward! We use our Snapper YardVac to pickup the leavings from bushes and hedges, and we chop limbs to a manageable size and haul them away (unless you have an appropriate place to dump the limbs - if so, price will be substantially lower than if we have to take them away.)
